Good skiing is available - you'll find classic track and skate skiing on the many East Side trails that have been groomed this week; and you can enjoy the corduroy surface on the West Side trails. Check out the grooming report (below) to get a sense of the open (groomed) trails. Please be patient -- it's highly labor intensive when dealing with ice storm damaged trees.
Ungroomed trails will provide plenty of 'backcountry' skiing until grooming can be expanded while removing ice damaged trees/branches.
Since the big snowfall on December 28th, this has been a challenging week for our groomers. The December 28th big snowfall transitioned from rain to ice to wet snow to dry snow, and was accompanied by stiff winds -- and plenty of downed branches. Please help remove trail debris as you ski.
