Blue Hills Trail - East Side - 2022 Logging Activity

Autumn 2022, loggers cut a large timber sale on the East Side in the vicinity of the Otter Slide and Far East trails (those trails are the furthest 'east' trails). On January 20, 2023 the logging company bulldozed the involved trails to remove snow so the ground could freeze. Once the ground is deeply frozen, those logs will be hauled to market using a route to the east of the ski trails. After the logger is done hauling to market, we'll probably need 8-12 inches of accumulated snow before we can hope to groom the involved trails for skiing. Refer to the map below.
