Decent hiking conditions, especially on the mowed trails (see below). Unmowed trails have tall grasses (knee high or taller).

Insect activity is mild-moderate. Ticks have been numerous this year.

Mowing of the East Side trails began June 27th - look at the mowing map (below). The Rusk County Forestry Department usually mows the West Side trails in late August or September.
