Conditions are not ideal -- but skiing is available. We're in the midst of a warmup (temps often above freezing). Anticipate icy conditions when overnight temps drop below freezing; then a softening trail surface as a result of solar radiation and temps above 32 degrees F. The base appears thick enough for you to use your good skis. If in doubt, bring your 'B' skis.

The access roads (Fire Lane Road and Excelsior Road) are quite icy in the vicinity of the warming house!

December 23: groomed the West Side trails using a leveling implement; added fresh classic track in many areas.

December 20 (evening): groomed some of the side trails on the East Side.

December 19: groomed the skate lane and set classic track on the West Side during the daytime, then the East Side Core Loop and Roundabout trails in the evening.
